Off Hour Care and Assistance

We make every effort to be available continuously, but this obviously isn’t possible. Call the office at any time and the answering machine will guide you to help 24 hrs a day every day. You will usually be directed to call Dr. Favara at home at 363-0683. In urgent matters you will be directed to the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital emergency department when one of us can’t be reached promptly. On rare occasions, when none of us are available, we must refer you to other physicians. Always call the office first; 363-5013.

Deciding where to go for immediate medical treatment

How to get help and answers when the office is closed

  • For acute life threatening illness or accident, CALL 911 and/or go to Marcus Daly Emergency Dept. Do not come to the office even if it is open.
  • In all other instances we prefer that you contact us through the office - 363-5013.
  • If you are sure your child should be seen Call 363-5013
  • Since Dr. Favara is usually on call, he will often see your child at the office, day or night, if it is necessary. Since Dr. Gillis and Maria live some distance from the office this isn’t feasible for them when they are on call. You may be directed to the Marcus Daly Emergency Dept. or Convenient Care.
  • If you have questions that can’t wait until the office is open, follow directions provided by answering machine. If the person on call fails to respond as quickly as you would like, call the Marcus Daly Emergency Dept 363-2211
